The design team at BBM&D Strategic Branding is honored to announce that our work on the Fall 2008 Gifted Education Communicator has been named a finalist in the Association of Educational Publishers' 2009 Distinguished Achievement Awards Program. BBM&D's design, a front cover for the Interdisciplinary Studies Issue on Visual and Performing Arts, is nominated in the "sponsored publication" category.
"I am excited and thrilled that our beautiful ballerina image is a finalist," said Margaret Gosfield, editor of the Communicator. "BBM&D has done wonderful work." Winners will be announced at the AEP's annual Awards Gala on June 12, 2009 in Washington, D.C. Submissions are evaluated on traits such as efficacy, usability, and overall educational value and are judged by an expert panel of educators, editors, designers, and technology specialists. Being a finalist is a true honor because the judges selected no more than four finalists in each category.
The creative minds at BBM&D completed a comprehensive redesign of the Communicator in 2006, and it has been nominated for several awards since then. BBM&D's design showcases a sophisticated visual display of the quarterly journal's reliable, professional insight for teachers, students and parents into the field of gifted education.
